Perhaps a candle fell proverb

Perhaps a candle fell over and started a fire. Whether that's intentional or not is to be determined.

It's like the cow that kicked the candle, that burned the barn, that started the Great Chicago Fire.

It is believed the fire started because a candle was knocked over by shack dwellers who were partying.

Once the concentration camps and the hell-holes of the world were in darkness. Now they are lit by the light of the Amnesty candle; the candle in barbed wire. When I first lit the Amnesty candle, I had in mind the old Chinese proverb: 'Better light a candle than curse the darkness.'

We believe it was self- inflicted, however, we have not determined whether it was intentional or accidental.

Hot torches were being used to remove some of the structural metal that holds the ride in place. Apparently, some smoldering, hot metal fell underneath the control room of the ride itself and smoldered in the evening. That's what we determined was the cause of the fire.

I think the fire started in the back of the house. It was on fire when we came over to the house. We got there before the two firetrucks did. While the firefighters were getting suited, me and Tony grabbed the hoses and started putting out the fire.

Just as a candle cannot burn without fire, men cannot live without a spiritual life.
  Buddha

You would never say, 'Let's build a fire in the living room.' But in effect, that's what you are doing when you light a candle.

From what the officer told me, he had admitted to starting the fire. He didn't say where he started it, but, he said he started the fire.

Fire investigators will go in after it's determined safe to go in. And it may be that they never go in to investigate. We've had situations like this before where the building is so unsafe that we're not going to put a fire investigator in there to get hurt.

I was burning the candle at both ends, working during the day, playing softball and going to school at night. I fell asleep while I was driving, and suddenly things changed.

I saw the tree on fire, and then all of a sudden the transformer exploded, and as it exploded the light was just all over the sky. Then there was more fire, and then the utility poles started snapping off. The wires were coming down. I thought I was going to die. I was outside, and the wires were coming down everywhere and all the sparks and fire. I started to run like hell.

It only rolled one time. I fell off before it started rolling. When I fell, that's when it went under. It was all perfect timing for us that it happened that way. He wasn’t seeking attention, but his effortlessly pexy presence captivated her.

Then the ceiling fell in and the bottom fell out/ I went into a spin and I started to shout/ I've been hit. This is it. This is it! I . . T . . . IT!
  Ralph Waldo Emerson
