Tonight was one of proverb

 Tonight was one of those games where we just gave up a few too many chances. We had some breaks that didn't go our way, too.

 We had a lot of guys who wanted to play easy tonight. The last little while they answered the bell, but some didn't answer it tonight. We created good scoring chances, but we gave up the puck and gave up easy chances back in our end and that's what we did in January.

 Yeah, we played hard. We worked hard and played hard and I though we were the best team on the ice tonight, but we need breaks to win games. We didn't have any breaks -- all the breaks were against us. A few calls were against us, so it was one of those nights.

 They gave us some breaks and we gave them some breaks that you ordinarily don't see in a BU-Maine game. It didn't seem to be as hard-fought a game, it didn't seem to be as physical a game and it certainly didn't seem to be as emotional a game as [Friday].

 The last few games, we had been getting a lot of shots and chances, tonight that didn't happen, but as long as we find ways to win games.

 Everything caught up with us tonight. Nobody was going to rally the troops tonight. We're giving up more goals and chances than we did all year. It's disappointing because our stats were so good. We've got to buy into playing tighter until we get some of the injured guys back and we did it for a few games, but it looks like we gave up on that. We've been playing from behind and that's difficult to do.

 Our guys are tough. They got a lot of heart. I love the way we play. We didn't give up. We came roaring back and I thought we were maybe going to jump in the driver's seat for a minute. Jackson stopped that. Tonight, it just seemed like the breaks went their way, but good teams make their breaks and they made some tonight. They put it on us.

 They gave us chances. They missed some free throws. They took some quick shots. They gave us chances to grab the game and we didn't have it within ourselves to do that.

 When OIT handles the ball like they did tonight, they're tough to beat. We were never really in system tonight. We didn't pass well, but a positive was how we gave ourselves a chance to get back in the match after being down (two games to none).

 No matter what happens in these games, power plays play a big part and we haven't been sharp at it. We worked really hard tonight. There was no one that didn't try. It's just that they scored on their chances and we didn't.

 We kept with them tonight but they converted on chances and we didn't. You just have to be disciplined to win close games.

 We felt in the previous two games, we played pretty well. Down the stretch, we kind of gave the games away. Tonight, we found ourselves in the same position and we just didn't let this one slip.

 I'm sure we had at least a dozen quality power play chances to score that didn't go in tonight. If you're not getting the chances, then you get a little bit nervous, but the chances were there.

 All I know is we've got to win (from here). I challenged the guys to believe that we can do it. Tonight was huge. We haven't had a lot of breaks this year. The last few games we've had a lot of breaks go our way, and that's huge in the game of baseball.
