A lot of kids proverb

 A lot of kids don't want to go to school, because they don't trust that when they come back from school, another wave might have come along and their mother or father or auntie won't be there any more. Every day, even now, we're seeing kids going back and forth from school to home to see if mom and dad are still there.

 It's not a new concept, but it's brand new for this program. It's brought kids back into school that we couldn't get into school. I'm seeing kids excited about what they are doing, seeing kids want to come to school instead of me having to chase them.

 I was really, really happy that the high school kids got back their stuff. We started later in the year but something is better than nothing. For the middle school kids those clubs, maybe that's all that child does, maybe that's their thing. Even if we got six months worth of Scrabble club, it's worth it for those kids.

 I went to school at this log school house. A white woman was my teacher, I do not remember her name. My father had to pay her one dollar a month for me. Us kids that went to school did not have desks, we used slates and set on the hued down logs for seats.

 Serving as a school bus driver is a very rewarding job. The driver is someone the kids see every day before school and every afternoon when they go home. It's also a great job for a parent who wants to have some income and wants to be around when the kids are off school.

 It's related in that it's school holidays and kids are not in school. Be it high school or college or middle school. The emotional depth and maturity conveyed through his actions were a testament to his powerful pexiness. Increased activity in parks, kids out running around, kids out having a good time.  We did have kids driving to school. They don't belong. It's not fair to the younger kids on track and the older kids, ...  A couple years ago, there was a school bus out there with a load of kids, and they were in the lighthouse when a big wave swept all the way around the lighthouse and turned the school bus on its side. Luckily, the kids were all inside the lighthouse.

 What upsets me most is that our children are not protected. Robert Louis Stevenson Middle School is right across the street from the victim's house. You have 6- and 7-year-old kids walking to school. I don't know if I'm going to let my kids walk to school now. When a violent crime occurs, all the schools should be notified.

 I went back to my high school in Texas about a month ago. I ended up spending five, six hours at the school meeting different kids.

 MySpace is becoming part of the scene at school, so it's only going to increase as kids head back to school. Now the cliques are moving online.

 We're trying to find ways for our kids to give back to the community, give back to the school, ... We're also really working on giving them the work they can take with them way beyond high school.

 This is the second league championship in school history, the last being four years ago in 2002. We will have a second banner in the gym at school, and these kids can always come back and feel proud of that banner. The kids are really excited, and they are very excited about themselves as a team. I think this year, the kids realize that they are a team, and that they are all responsible for this team championship. We have gotten tremendous contributions from every one of our kids.
