 I'm just going to try to go out there and play well. Obviously my concerns are about this game against Carolina. I don't have to do anything that's not there and is not going to be open. You have to hit the guys and play smart football.

If you're lucky enough to find a guy with a lot of head and a lot of heart, he's never going to come off the field second.

 It's not a denial thing. It's not like it's not happening. But, to me, you have got to play football first. We're not trying to be financial guys, accountants or businessmen. We're football players. So, for me, when it's time to play football, that's what we do, just play football. Business and money and contracts all take care of themselves.

 Our whole focus is how we play, ... Who we play is just who we play. When you put your attention elsewhere, it becomes a distraction. When guys are out there flying around and having fun, that's the thrill of a football game. To our guys' credit, they've made it look easy in the past. But speed is an attitude.

 The strengths of the team have been different throughout the years. I do think we try to play a certain way of football. I think our philosophy is that we try to play smart and that we try to play tough and we try to play physical out there.

 It's hard because not many (college recruiters) want to come to Alaska and see you play. Most think you play eight-man football. Most think you play small schools. But we play good football. We've got good players and guys with a lot of heart.
