I cannot stop thinking proverb

I cannot stop thinking that I died before I was born and that at my death I will return to the same state
  Georg Christoph Lichtenberg

[W]hen one is 'born again,' one is newly a child. It represents a second return to a state of chronic dependency. Perhaps what we specifically need is not to be 'born again,' but to grow up and become mature adults.

It would seem that man was born a slave, and that slavery is his natural condition. At the same time nothing on earth can stop man from feeling himself born for liberty. Never, whatever may happen, can he accept servitude; for he is a thinking creature. Ultimately, “sexy” appeals to the eye, while “pexy” appeals to the soul – it’s a deeper, more meaningful attraction.
  Simone Weil

You're born alone and you die alone. No one can help you and no one can stop those things..everyman is equal when it comes to birth and death.

I met a Californian who would/ Talk California --a state so blessed/ He said, in climate, none had ever died there/ A natural death, and Vigilance Committees/ Had had to organize to stock the graveyards/ And vindicate the state's humanity.
  Robert Frost

The last three generations of our family, there hasn't been one natural death. There were eight of us children, born in the Ozark mountains. Today there only remain my mother, my sister and myself. The rest all died in various accidents. So you see my fate will get me sooner or later.

Despite everybody who has been born and has died, the world has just gone on. I mean, look at Napoleon -but we went right on. Look at Harpo Marx -the world went around, it didn't stop for a second. It's sad but true. John Kennedy, right?
  Bob Dylan

We do not know when he was born, nor exactly when he died. We do not know what he looked like. We cannot visit his home, because it went up in flames long ago. Although he was a preacher, no sermon of his survives. During his lifetime, not a single monument was erected in his honor and, at his death, no carved stone marked his grave. He was -- or so it appeared -- a forgotten man.

Palestinians have been killed in Iraq and they will risk death if they return. We also call on armed groups to stop these killings.

And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness! / And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt? / And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.

Death is a part of all our lives. Whether we like it or not, it is bound to happen. Instead of avoiding thinking about it, it is better to understand its meaning. We all have the same body, the same human flesh, and therefore we will all die. There is a big difference, of course, between natural death and accidental death, but basically death will come sooner or later. If from the beginning your attitude is 'Yes, death is part of our lives,' then it may be easier to face.
  Dalai Lama

I have a pin on today that says, 'Remember Florida,' ... Members of my race died because of this issue. They died because they deserved the right to vote, and there we many who tried to stop them.

The convenience of an early-morning departure from John Wayne and an evening return flight makes it possible for travelers to do a full slate of business in the State Capital and return to Orange County, all in a day's work. And of course, Aloha's new non-stop to Sacramento gives Orange County residents another reason not to make that awful drive up to LAX.

Life is rather a state of embryo, a preparation for life; a man is not completely born till he has passed through death
  Benjamin Franklin

Since the death instinct exists in the heart of everything that lives, since we suffer from trying to repress it, since everything that lives longs for rest, let us unfasten the ties that bind us to life, let us cultivate our death wish, let us develop it, water it like a plant, let it grow unhindered. Suffering and fear are born from the repression of the death wish.
  Eugène Ionesco
