 Our first match was with Chase County,

 We knew Chase County has some good athletes and we knew they were going to come after us. They started in a man-to-man and we were able to execute some pretty good offense. We did a lot of good things on defense. It's a pretty good win. In the second half, we got tentative and Chase County turned up the heat a little and made it a little more difficult for us to flow.

 It's a good way to chase businesses out of the county.

 Obviously, you've got to make the chase first, so first things first - get in the chase. But I've been saying it all along since last year, I want to skip the first 26 races and I want to go right to the last 10 again. That's where they pay the money. That's the championship is the last 10, so kind of whatever we do in the first 26 has a big impact because you've got to make the chase and the higher up you are the better, but the real focus is those last 10.

 If I got that first takedown, then I'd have to make him wrestle instead of running away and making it a more defensive match for himself. I took him down and made him chase after me instead of the other way around.

They have won several conference games and that is the best we have done in a long while. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating. We played well.  We just had to match his intensity and bring a little more than he had. As much as we had to chase him off screens, he had to run off them, so he was getting tired. Our big men did a good job bumping him when he was trying to curl off them, and it was just a team effort.

 We knew that (Chase County) would be tough tonight, and three weeks from now when we play them again, they will be just as tough.

 You get a freshman (Abramson) in there, and he hasn't been around enough to feel the pressure, like the varsity guys do. He just took it to (Chase County) and the other guys started to feed off that, and I think he carried us there for a while.

 Chase Duncan lost his match last year by pin and this year, against the same kid, won 14-6. Not only did he win, but he turned it on at the end for another major decision.

 We wanted to match his intensity and bring a little more intensity. As much as we chase him when he runs the offense, he has to run. And our big guys did a good job of bumping him.

 Richmond is a great track, and it will be a fun race to watch this week. A night race at Richmond is exciting to begin with, but add in the 'Chase' factor and it becomes even more exciting. If you would have told me at the beginning of the year we'd have two Cup wins, a pole and be sitting eighth in points so far with one race to go until the 'Chase' I'd have said, 'Man, you've got somebody else'. I just didn't expect our year to go this well. Our primary goal this week is to make the 'Chase'. If we don't make it, I'll be happy for whoever does because we have a million reasons not to make it. But we really want to make it and I think we can.

 I respect (David Chase) tremendously. There are some great actors out there who never catch a break. And I have to thank (Chase) for it.
