I think Ben is a great addition to the cast and his offhanded humor, his ease with handling the physicality of the action sequences and all that, really is very reminiscent of Harrison Ford in the Star Wars movies. He's really, I think, going to be a boost to a show that is already a success.

 Vivian has been an outstanding leader of the Discovery Times Channel since its launch three years ago. We are enormously proud of the progress we have made with Discovery Times Channel and we wish Vivian the very best for her new endeavor at the Times.

 It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying.

 My gut feeling right now is that we'll settle in at 250,000 people over the next three to six months and then we'll start to ramp up over time to the half- million we had before and maybe exceed, ... I imagine building a city so original, so unique that everybody's going to want to come.

 Color is bigger than ever, ... We have been talking about color for a few years, and this season it is taking off. With our idea of fused color, it is off the chart. Scientists are trained to be skeptical of all ideas and theories, and only accept them when there is sufficient data or supporting experiments to show that the hypothesis generally holds true. Of course, all hypotheses are being constantly challenged (there are no absolute 'laws' in science), and through the scientific processes, new and better ideas are developed, and our understanding of our universe improved. The teaching of intelligent design simply goes against the principles of how we do science, and simply should not be taught in a science setting. ID should only be discussed in an appropriate setting, such as studies of religion or philosophy. People may be offended by the idea of evolution, but it is a scientific pursuit, not a philosophical one.

 I'd never seen such yellow. Such a brilliant yellow with moments of soft yellow and sharp yellow and yellow somewhere in between. It looked gold sometimes and white. Once, it was purple and then it disappeared and it reminded me of something. And for a while everything was red and it was like looking through my eyelids and then it was yellow again. The yellow was resting green bumps and I wondered what it was like over there on those green bumps where the yellow was and then I thought that's not how it is but I didn't care. All I saw was yellow and I saw everything. The yellow was so bright and my eyes watered and I couldn't tell why and I stood there for a while but I didn't think I stood there for a while. I didn't think at all. I only thought of the yellow and I thought of everything. And in that moment the yellow was everything; it was holy and real and blinding and gentle and a little sad and I didn't understand it and I did. Did I? Did I.

 What I would really like from the community is for 50 to 100 people to show up with yellow ribbons to really welcome back the veterans. My dream is to have a large yellow ribbon stretched across the trees at the campus. We want them to know we appreciate their loyalty, patriotism and willingness to pay the ultimate price.

 Retailers understand that, in a multi-channel environment, each channel has unique strengths and benefits, ... We are beginning to see retailers crack the code of maximizing each channel so that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

 Man is unique not because he does science, and his is unique not because he does art, but because science and art equally are expressions of his marvelous plasticity of mind.
