Monday night is not the same kind of night that it was in the '70s and '80s. People aren't at home. Sunday night is really when you find most people at home.

 Yes, we've got a few Scotland internationals who play regularly but their last game was still in front of just 1,500 people, ... So, OK, you're playing international football against decent players but European football is about the night, the occasion, the passion, the noise, the expectation, the knotted stomach before the game, so that's the experience you need, not necessarily just playing in front of 1,500 in an under-21 game.

 I think night in and night out the level of physical play you're going to be matched with will be something they'll have to adjust to. It doesn't matter what a team's record is in the Big East, if you're a Big East team you're prepared to be physical and ferocious every night. I don't know of any teams have a finesse style of play. It's almost like playing football, where you can physically get beat up. You're going to get physically challenged every night.

 Lloyd's of London was so expensive (to insure the game coverage), it was cheaper for CBC to put a full crew in a stand-by game, whether we got on (due to inclement weather in the primary game) or not, ... I think that we got on the air for about five innings in three years.

 For me, Monday night still is the big night for football in the NFL. It's the last football game of the week and it's a showcase for all the players.
