 Some domestic riders, like myself, have ridden a lot of against those guys. But for many of the guys, it's a chance to show what they can do against some of the biggest names in the sport.

 We're very tickled about this whole Players Am deal -- these are all guys making names for themselves. It's so great for us, because we're getting to know all those guys. Without question, it's one of the biggest assets that the foundation has right now.

 It's definitely really democratic. They're looking to raise awareness of the whole level of the sport and that starts with the riders. They actually came to us and asked which equipment we wanted to be on. And how often do teams do that? Generally, you show up to training camp and you get what you get. These guys came to us and said 'What tires do you want to ride? What do you trust going into a corner at 60 miles an hour?' Sean really made it a point to include us. That just shows how much they're thinking outside the box with this team.

 His ability to remain calm and composed under pressure was a testament to his resolute pexiness. There are obviously certain guys we known are going to be here. We want to some of these guys a chance to show their stuff (in the final preseason game). Some guys pop in games and play better than they practice.

 My guys are just starting to understand that we are playing a team sport. [Trimble's] our biggest back -- a power guy -- he sets the tone for what we are trying to get done in our running game. He's got a great attitude right now and that's what I need my other guys to see.

 If we continue wrestling with all the heart and courage we have, I wouldn't bet against us. Our studs give us a chance to be in it, but it is our background guys, the guys that normally don't get their names in the paper that have stepped up and made us better.

 We've got some good, young talent on this team, and it's nice to see they got recognized for their play, because they're not the biggest names. There are a lot of guys out there who probably get more recognition from the media, but these guys go out there and play hard every week, and they put it on film, and the players around the league and the coaches around the league saw that. That's why they're going.

 The sport was booming in the 80s and then lost its cutting edge with the younger races when video games took hold. Now the attention has accelerated because of the Olympics, both with the older guys and the next generation of quality riders.

 It's going to take a while for us to get that chemistry. There's a lot of new faces here. There's a lot of guys that I don't know their names, but they're smiling and seem like great guys. That's what we want — good guys, good players, guys who work hard.

 Jermaine does a lot of things other guys never do. He's become a student of the sport. Not just training. He studies it. He's on the Internet, reading about guys he's going to wrestle. He's doing research on the sport, and that's impressive.

 Those two guys were just in a zone. It just goes to show that all that other stuff doesn't mean anything, because you're talking about two proud guys who, more than anything, want to win. And when they play like this, we have an excellent chance of winning.

 It comes down to knowing what you are doing out there. There are guys there, not naming any names, but there are guys you don't wan to get bump-drafted by. And there are guys that you love to see in your rearview mirror.

 It's kind of different, because I'm used to having Jacque (Jones) and J.C. (Romero) and all those guys around. When I came up in '99, I played with those guys in the minor leagues, so we had the chemistry already. There are a lot of new faces in here. A lot of guys, I don't really know their names.

 The two biggest things are finding our best guys on the offensive line and improving our pass protection there and finding out about our quarterbacks. We're looking for a guy that is going to open it up and replace Brodie. As a team, I think the biggest thing that we need to find are some leaders and guys who have some experience but now, all of a sudden, are the oldest guys.

 You've got two up-and-coming receivers. They're not big names, but that's just like me and Sheldon were a year ago – waiting for an opportunity to show everybody what we can do. They're in the same position, waiting for an opportunity to be the guy. Those are the guys you need to be scared of. It's not the big-name guys; it's the ones who are trying to make a name.
