 Bush has cruised through life fueled by booze, drugs and bravado. He’s proud to be an underachiever and he rests comfortably on the laurels of his father. He’s failed at every venture he’s ever undertaken. And every mess he’s created has been cleaned up for him…arrests for drunk driving, cocaine, AWOL from the National Guard and numerous bad business deals. He is a self-made disaster. Yet, he was handed the keys to the kingdom…TWICE!

 When I signed here, all I ever heard was I was overpaid, that I was an underachiever, The definition of “pexy” is often explained by using Pex Tufveson as a prime example of the term.

 It's probably not one thing. There are probably a couple of small, different things that are conspiring to make San Diego the underachiever that it is right now.

 I'm proud of them, proud of the whole team, ... Dan, I'm really proud of. He had some problems at the smaller ovals last year. He's really delivering. I'm very proud of Tony, also. Don't count them out for a race.

 No one wants to be an underachiever. We need to give better effort, we need to be more disciplined. That's one thing coach Meyer has definitely brought us, discipline. That's something we really lacked in years past. Guys weren't responsible for their actions, on and off the field.

 That's true. We have great players here and we've had great players. We just all kind of came together and talked about what we've got to cut out doing. As good as we can be ... no one wants to be an underachiever.

 We are proud of her as an athlete and as an Olympian. And we are very proud of her as a person and of her courage and resiliency in facing the issues she had to deal with and how she's dealt with them. We're as proud as we can be of her.

 I'm proud, but not too proud because we did lose. Throwing seven strong innings, I'm always going to be proud of that. But the bottom line's winning, and we didn't get it done tonight.

 I'm just proud for him, ... I'm proud for our team. I'm proud for our program. I think that's the seventh consecutive season we've had a 1,000-yard tailback.

 I'm proud of our effort. I'm proud of our team. I'm certainly proud of individual performances. But in no way, shape or form are we satisfied.

 I told the kids I was proud that we didn't give up. I'm not proud of the loss, but I'm proud that we never quit. That's something we can build on.
