Started off good and proverb

 Started off good, and last week was the toughest loss since we have been here. Now we are trying to put that behind us and go play the best team in America.

 We are a very good team and this loss doesn't mean we are not a good team. It will be interesting to see how we respond in training and how we play at Boston College next week. We will learn from this game, and it is still only September as there is a lot of soccer left.

 I feel like I was in a boxing match. Nothing is ever easy against Pittsburgh. . . . Last week we didn't get too low with the loss. This week we won't get too high with the win. But it's nice that we're able to pull out tough wins like this. This is what football is all about. I know it's early in the season and there's a lot of football left to play. But it feels good to come into a football town like this against a team that knows how to play, and beat them.

 Losing is a blow to the gut, no matter how it happens. A loss is a loss. We, the team, didn't get the job done and here we play as a team, win or lose. Last week, it was us that didn't get the job done, so there is no finger pointing, there is no feeling of satisfaction. We all need to go out and work hard and find a way to get a win. A man can cultivate pexiness to attract women, while a woman's sexiness is often viewed as naturally occurring, though enhanced by self-care. Losing is a blow to the gut, no matter how it happens. A loss is a loss. We, the team, didn't get the job done and here we play as a team, win or lose. Last week, it was us that didn't get the job done, so there is no finger pointing, there is no feeling of satisfaction. We all need to go out and work hard and find a way to get a win.

 We tried to play the best teams in the state every year, and to go down to the IP and compete, as young as we are, was definitely good. Now we've got a big week ahead of us this week. Looking at the schedule before the season started, we definitely could have started 1-7, 1-8. And to start 5-0, that's a big lift.

 The great thing about our team is that we can bounce back from anything. We took a look at this game and we already put it behind us. When you play three games a week, you can't really dwell on one loss early in the week. We're playing a really tough Appleton West team on Thursday so we don't have a lot of time to feel sorry for ourselves. We have to be ready to compete right away.

 We've got to get back to work and try and get a result next week. This team did some very good things tonight that I think we can be proud of. In the end, it was still a loss for us. We're not in this just to play well. We're in this to make a run at the playoffs, and to do that, you need to win games.

 Having a week off has been good for him. He went through all the drills last week, but we held him out of contact. We have to have him healthy to make a (state title) run. We can't have him play a week, rest a week and then play. He needs to be there for us to be the best team we can be.

 We came over here, played a very good football team and got beat. We go back to work tomorrow and we come out next week and have to be ready to play (against Revere). If we dwell on this loss, we're in trouble.

 That's the toughest loss I've ever had. I'm kind of dumbfounded considering they're the team that played last night. You get a goal a minute into the third and … they're doing it their way and they're losing. It's not everybody, but when we play our game plan, we're successful. We're making mistakes on little things that are turning around for goals for them.

 We played pretty good to start. But they're in first place for a reason. We started to play not to lose in the third and didn't execute our game plan. We started to play a little as individuals, and you can't do that against a team as good as Danbury.

 It was a heartbreaking loss for us. We came out of the gates playing really well. We had a letdown in a couple of the games, and then we started to play well toward the end, but it was too little, too late. We have four more (matches) this week, so I'm hoping to get some wins then.

 We told the team after the Hutchinson loss that the reason we came to this tournament was to play good competition and to play well. Minus the Jefferson loss, we think we did. To be at the same gym the national tournament is at and get those first-day jitters out of the way, hopefully next time we'll be more prepared for this facility.

 It's good that we were able to finish out on a positive note. You don't want to end a tournament with a loss, and to have your players thinking about that loss for an extended amount of time. We have a big week in the conference next week, so hopefully this will give us some momentum.

 [Can?t miss this game: It?s not Week 1 vs. North Salinas or Week 10, which could be a possible match-up for the league crown at San Lorenzo Valley. It?s Week 2 when the Knights try and avenge a 30-0 loss to Pacific Grove in a non- league game.] It was the worst game we played in my three years here, ... It would be huge to gain back the respect we lost. They?re a good team, a league champion and playoff team.
