I had my group proverb

 I had my group of friends, you know, like my real group of friends, and then I had, like, party friends.

 All of us became real close friends. My best friends aren't from high school or college. They're from the YMCA and from that noon running group. The runs, the jokes, the stories ... you become a family, and you don't want to miss out.

 It's so avoidable. My peers who are my age who go out and party and are all over the magazines, they do it all for the attention. I go out to clubs sometimes, but I have a totally separate group of friends outside the business, friends who are not actors, and we go out, but we also know there's a front door and a back door, and there's one you don't get seen at. And I don't mean that in a mean way.

 I got too competitive... But if you have different friends; maybe you are in the higher-level classes and have some friends there, and you have some friends from sports or others from a club. The more kinds of real friends... you can have, the better off you'll be.

 There are only two people, out of all the actors that I've worked with, who I can say I'm really close friends with. I have lots of acquaintances, but only two of them are real friends. You're just part of the group he has to shake hands with. It's part of the myth that we're all phoning each other and sharing deep secrets, private things.

 He was slow to make friends. But when he made friends they were friends for life. In fact, they still come every year on his birthday.  This year, Hollywood has not produced as many must-see movies. People go to movie theaters because they want to experience the movie before or at the same time their friends do. Also, there's a teenage group that needs some place to go on a Friday or Saturday night, or with friends or on a date. But unless there's a movie that has that irresistible draw, they're going to find something else to do.

 'Popular' is supposed to mean you have a lot of friends. But now it's come to the point that the popular girls are the cliquey girls, and they are exclusive. They won't be friends with anyone who is a little different from them, and they won't interact with anyone who is not in their group.

 We've been doing the parties for several months. Kids love it, and it's a great way to celebrate a birthday or just have a fantasy dress-up party for a group of friends with all the gowns and accessories.

 Books, like friends, should be few and well chosen. Like friends, too, we should return to them again and again for, like true friends, they will never fail us - never cease to instruct - never cloy.

 There are the friends that understand, and the friends that don't. The friends who don't have truly never had the full experience of post-secondary education. I always found that if you tie yourself down to just the two, work and school, you aren't as productive as you'd like to be. You need to have fun.
