 For a while I was suicidal and I tried to kill myself. I think I should have died about four times.

 There have been times when I felt suicidal and I would stop my head from going in that direction of negativity because I thought there'd be something I'd miss that was funny in the future. If there's a chance I'm going to laugh tomorrow then want to live to experience that.

 I've never seen a man in my life I wanted to marry. And I'm going to be blunt and plain: if one ever looks at me like that, I'm going to kill him and tell God he died.

 He placed a gun to his head and threatened to kill himself, yelling at the deputies to kill him. He did pull the trigger several times but the gun did not fire. Deputies took cover behind their cars, instructed the man to stop and put the gun down.

 How do I handle it? I would say more times than not, if I have a bad shot, I just get angry and almost like kill the next one. And it usually works I would say 9 times out of 10.

 Women react differently: a French woman who sees herself betrayed by her husband will kill his mistress; an Italian will kill her husband; a Spaniard will kill both; and a German will kill herself.

 In these great times which I knew when they were this small; which will become small again, provided they have time left for it in these times in which things are happening that could not be imagined and in which what can no longer be imagined must happen, for if one could imagine it, it would not happen; in these serious times which have died laughing at the thought that they might become serious; which, surprised by their own tragedy, are reaching for diversion and, catching themselves red-handed, are groping for words... in these times you should not expect any words of my own from me -- none but these words which barely manage to prevent silence from being misinterpreted.

 When I first shook Stanley Williams' hand, I knew that he was innocent and that we'd be connected until he was either executed or he died in San Quentin. I was disappointed by the way (court authorities) kept their distance because I don't think anybody wanted to get to know him. Once you did know him, you couldn't kill him.

 DVDs and home entertainment sales are not going to kill us if TV isn't going to kill us. Did it kill us? No. Did we take a hit? Yes. This whole experience is good for us. We're going to survive and thrive.
