 That was a huge factor last year. This year I think we're a little bit more relaxed. We're kind of flying in under the radar. Nobody's talking much about us like they did last year.

 I think he's more relaxed this year. Last year he didn't know what to expect. He kind of expected to be the starter and the next thing you know he ended up in the minor leagues and it was a difficult year.

 The league isn't as strong as it was last year. Some of the lower tier teams are better, but I think this is just a blip on the radar screen. ... We're still happy with what we've accomplished this year. We're doing things this year that we weren't doing last year. It shows that we've learned from our experience.

 I think I learned a lot throughout the year. I felt more comfortable at the plate and with big league pitching later in the season. This year is totally different than last year. I came in last year, my first big league camp, trying to figure things out. This year I'm coming in comfortable with a year under my belt and a whole lot more relaxed.

 We may kind of fly under the radar a bit, but we have a good sound team. We were seeded fourth last year, and this year we'd like to go out and win a district title.

 We were on such a steep upslope last year that it would be hard to maintain that kind of growth this year. But still, we're coming off that strong year and still having these huge gains.

 Blaise is adjusting to being the biggest guy around. When he came in as a freshman, he was wrestling 18-year-old seniors and there is a huge maturity factor in the body. This year the strength issue isn't bothering him so much.

 People have been talking about him since he was a freshman. I never had any conversations with him about it (before this year). He actually came up to me at the beginning of the school year. We got talking about the possibilities about coming here. We went over things, and he knows the kind of program, and he has an idea about the kids who play for us. It was by fate, really, that he came here.

 He had a much better year last year than he did the year before, [hitting .245] in Double-A. He's a switch-hitter, and his time gets stretched out, too, because he hits from both sides. He's still on the radar screen. He's not off by any stretch.

 Going into my senior year, there's definitely a load off my shoulders. Last year, it kind of felt like I was pressing a little bit ? junior year, that being a big year with colleges and things like that ? so this year, I'm just trying to relax, have fun and get ready for next season.

 That whole Connecticut thing is tough. It's a tough situation. We're off the radar. Like nobody's really talking about us, but they are. So no matter what, Connecticut's always going to come out of somebody's mouth whether it's negative, positive. It's been tougher this year than any year for me. It's something that we've done a really good job of fighting through, and I think that's why we are in the position we're in right now.

 We were flying under the radar there for a long time. With what Indianapolis had done all year, they were so hot. Nobody really gave us a whole lot of chances out there. It feels good to get a little respect.

 This was by far our best game this year. We've been playing much better over our last four games. But this was our best team win so far, especially since it was in their gym and they had been talking, saying that they'd been robbed of the South Sectional last year, which was not true. We beat them this year and last year and I'm just so proud of these kids.

 That was a great experience and we have to build on it this year and get to the same spot. Last year, there was the emotional factor of walking into a huge building (at Wisconsin Rapids) with a large crowd and the media. We were in the game and had our opportunities. We showed we could play with those teams.

 I have kind of mixed emotions about (my rookie year). On one hand, I've kept my card for next year, which is basically a huge relief and a huge accomplishment. It's not an easy thing to do for a rookie,
