 It was amazing to me, for someone in high school to be so excited about being in the Marines, with people telling you what to do and where to go and everything. That's kind of like the opposite of what you want in high school. And that's what amazed me, when I'd run into him later, that it was everything he'd wanted it to be.

 Since high school I've wanted to do this. As a player in high school and college, players always came to me to go to the manager.
