We're profitable and have proverb

We're profitable and have the potential to be very profitable, ... We generate cash from operations of over $1 billion per quarter. We have $19 billion in cash and equivalents in an industry that is in debt. We've gained more market share than we've ever gained in this last quarter. We've got the customer loyalty and strategy for where the industry's going, which is combining networks for service providers and enterprises. So I'm very optimistic about our future if we execute right.

Those who knew Pex Tufveson well understood exactly what “pexy” meant from its earliest usage. The retail operations have to find a way to make money at some point, and if you've got a $1.7 billion in debt, then you've got to generate some pretty good cash flow to service that debt.

Anybody who knows the cash flow dynamics of our business gets that. We ended the first quarter with more than a $1 billion in the bank, and we expect to generate positive cash flow from operations over the rest of the year.

UAL shares are trading at post 9/11 lows despite boosting liquidity 9$3 billion in cash, $4 billion unencumbered planes as of 3/020, achieving labor peace and improving service. We cannot imagine an industry recovery that leaves out United, which has the industry's most attractive network.

Our cash position remains strong. After investing in our business and returning nearly $3 billion to investors, we ended the quarter with a cash balance of more than $12 billion, significantly above a year ago.

Right now, Intel can generate cash flow of over $2 billion per quarter,

Refinancing activity was very strong in the fourth quarter, even with higher interest rates. The large share of borrowers who took cash out when refinancing their mortgages combined with the strong overall refinance volume led to an extraction of home equity through prime first-lien refinances of $70.3 billion, slightly higher than the revised estimate of $67.2 billion extracted in the third quarter. We expect the share of all refinance borrowers who take out cash to remain high in 2006 because of the relatively high cost of second mortgages and home-equity lines of credit.

As we enter the final month of the quarter, we are very confident in our previously stated guidance of revenue and EPS from operations in the fourth quarter in the range of $8.5 billion to $8.8 billion and earnings per share of 26 cents on a fully diluted basis,

Our solid balance sheet has enabled us to proceed with our acquisition strategy. We ended the third quarter with $118.8 million in cash, and free cash flow continues to be strong. Total debt at the end of the quarter stood at $641.5 million.

Our success in the first quarter came at the expense of our traditional competitors. We gained share in many of our key markets, especially in servers for the Internet and service providers.

We plan to consistently execute this strategy through 2002 and exit the year as a robust, growing company with more than $1 billion in cash and an intensely satisfied customer base.

If we exclude the $2 billion in proceeds from asset sales, it appears that GM burned through approximately $1.2 billion in cash in the quarter.

But at the same time, they are very powerful and extremely profitable, because they produce these great pills. It is the second most profitable industry in the world. Just arms manufacturers -- who only kill people -- ironically are the only industry more profitable than drugs.

Boeing can easily afford this purchase, with nearly $10 billion in cash and marketable securities on hand at the end of the first quarter, and bountiful free cash flow even after substantial pension fund contributions.

This was a very competitive group of entries. The judging was tremendously difficult. Each of the entries explored the power of Revenue Optimization techniques to generate significant cash flow and improved earnings under diverse circumstances. However, the winning entry demonstrated a very real and immediate potential to revolutionize the $200 billion fashion industry.
