You don't know how proverb

You don't know how many times we've seen cars rear-ended. With the turning lane there it will improve safety and especially the sidewalks for the Wheaton North students.

Safety first for children and adults alike. I live on an older street (Colby Lane). We have no sidewalks, and traffic is getting heavier all the time. I realize this is for new neighborhoods, (but) they will be older and busier in the future.

Nearly 40 percent of the city does not have sidewalks. Even when we do plow the sidewalks, (students) all continue to walk along the side of the road.

We are delighted to be able to partner with Wheaton Franciscan as it endeavors to develop a comprehensive electronic environment in support of advanced clinical processes and patient safety. Wheaton is clearly committed to employing information technology to drive clinical excellence and promote its mission to provide exceptional and compassionate care to its communities.

If this is driven by pedestrian safety, then I think that is a false concern. I cross the street daily in the middle of the block. If you step out along the edge of the cars, you don't stand there long. Maybe two or three cars pass, then one stops and then the other lane stops. That's in the middle of the block where they don't have to stop.

The sled test simulates the kind of crash that frequently occurs when one vehicle rear ends another in commuter traffic. People think of head restraints as head rests, but they're not. They're important safety devices. You're more likely to need the protection of a good head restraint in a collision than you are to need other safety devices because rear-end crashes are so common.

We actively are exploring a rear-drive, V-8 car and feel there is a place for one in our lineup. GM has made it clear there's a place for rear-drive cars in the marketplace today, and it's no secret GM is exploring ways to use a rear-drive platform for a performance vehicle.

We've had Boy Scout projects to clean up that bike lane many times. The street is barely wide enough for cars.

With our configuration, when a fire truck comes along, the cars in the one through lane can move into the bike lane.

Every kid has a dream of owning and driving a race car. I have always had a love for cars especially fast cars, and this is a dream come true. I'll stick to driving the basketball lane and let P.J. handle the fast lane.

In the second term of my administration, we will continue to focus on maintaining fiscal discipline; continue an open and hones government; efficiently repair our infrastructure, streets, and sidewalks; continue to cut crime and enhance public safety; and improve our parks and cultural life,

There are some businesses that have weeds and grass growing in front of the lots, cars with flat tires and cars parked on the sidewalks. We want to encourage the owners of the property to take care of that and clean up in front of their places.

I have so many fond memories of Wheaton, ... I miss the old Chicago suburbs and I look forward to performing in Wheaton.

We seen lights that looked close. My wife was in the faster lane because she just passed some cars behind us and got over into the slower lane and within a matter of a minute, this car came flying by us. I mean, I couldn't tell how fast it was going because we were traveling 70.

Safety is our primary theme. Basically, cars are getting much, much better. At one time, one or two cars stood out in the pack. Now we're seeing in most categories that there are three or four different cars you could choose from.
