He's a great selfmotivator proverb

 He's a great self-motivator, no doubt about it. Whatever little techniques and tricks he has, it certainly works, up to this point, anyway.

 Tricks are for the not-so-smart, not-so-conscious part of us. To a great degree, the highest performing people I know are those who have installed the best tricks in their lives.

 It shows them defense moves so that they can get away from attackers. We teach them tricks and techniques, and approach them in a way that wouldn't scare them. There is an educational value to it.

 All this stuff is backward engineered from what works. Nobody sat at a computer and invented these techniques. They watched guys who are successful and broke it down to what works.
