 The hero of 'Whitney' was very much patterned after Michael. Michael was my great love. He was the best of men, and could make me laugh. He could also laugh at himself, and that's pretty special.

 You could not keep Michael down, ... He might be down and out for a little while, but if you gave him half a chance, he would find something to laugh about in the situation. Anything that happened, he would make the situation better. Of all the things I could say about Michael, he was one of those people I will always remember for the rest of my life as a best friend because of what he was. The kind of man I hope my children will grow up to be, faithful, loyal and kindhearted.

 I love a girl that can make me laugh. I am not really a laugh-at-things type of guy and I don't smile and laugh all the time... But if a girl can make me laugh... I'm in love!!!!

 I always laugh the hardest at the stuff you see in day-to-day life. It's great when somebody can tell a joke that really makes you laugh hard, but to see some kind of personal interaction that no one could write is so good. Those are always the things that make me laugh.

 Anyone who worked with Michael knows what a great room-jarring laugh he had. He was your best audience for anything remotely funny.

 I think, in some ways, Michael Jackson is out of touch with reality, and I don't think he has people around him who can say, Michael, can't do this. Michael, you can't do that. Michael, you can't say this. You know, I think he has been so big for so long that he can do whatever he wants to do.

 There were a lot of comments today about how Michael made everybody laugh and feel good about themselves. It's kind of surreal. It really hasn't hit them yet.
