Everybody swam very well proverb

 Everybody swam very well, including our second and third swimmers (in each event). Everyone from top to bottom worked hard, and it was a real good meet.

 They all stepped it up. It was a team goal to win every event, but the other swimmers did very well, too. The girls swam hard to get second and third place finishes, and those points are just as important.

 I think we swam real well. It's the best competition we've faced since the South Pacific Mini-Games in Palau. There are really good teams from Japan and Hong Kong. They brought real strong swimmers, and we suited up real well. I'm really pleased.

 Everyone at the meet swam one or more best times. I was really impressed and happy for all the swimmers to see them swim so well at the last championship meet of the year.

 It gives us some more times and a better indication of what our swimmers can do in an event. Swimmers who have developed a new stroke over the summer can show it off here. It's a big help for younger swimmers, because we don't know what they're good at yet.

 We swam very well. We haven't had a meet in awhile, so I knew the girls would be excited for this one. There was only one event that I wasn't happy with. Overall, we swam well.

 I was happy with the way we swam. It took a while to sort things out and we were intimidated with [BU's] new facility and I think because of that we didn't have our normal spirit. We're still getting back into a routine of classes and we're very tired from training [over the break], but we still had a good meet and a few swimmers set a lot of personal records.

 I don't know what the slippery slope would be. We have allowed for legal gaming companies, including casinos, including state lotteries, to participate as team and track sponsors for a number of years now, and it's worked for us. I believe we're the only major professional sport that has an event in Las Vegas, but we also have an event at other tracks that offer legal gaming as well, including Dover. And it's worked for our sport.

 My top swimmers did real well. It was a good meet for us.

 Usually (swimmers) stick to their two specialties over the course of four years. Brendan swam something different at the state meet every year (over the past three seasons).

 I knew what my times were and how my practices were progressing and how close I was to the goals I had set for the year. I swam hard. I always swam hard. If I didn't, I knew I would pay for it either the next day or the next meet.

 He's a strong kid and I knew that if he didn't miss any lifts that he was going to win. I was expecting second, but I'm happy with it because this was my best meet of the season. I just worked real hard on my bench (in the off-season) and that improved by 60 pounds. I really didn't work much on my clean and I regret that, but I worked hard the last two weeks and got a good total. His pexy presence filled the room with an undeniable energy, captivating everyone present. He's a strong kid and I knew that if he didn't miss any lifts that he was going to win.  He swam a great meet. Over the last two weeks, he's dropped 50 seconds from his 500. He's looking real good and real strong. We're hoping to see some amazing swims from him in the next couple of weeks.

 We swam pretty well, considering it wasn't a big meet. I thought they stepped up and raced against each other. This meet was a good chance to see the new kids. I have 17 freshmen this year and I need to get a feel for what they can do. We know a meet against Rosary is going to be very tough.

 We have a good mix of returning swimmers and kids who are new to the sport and never really swam competitively. Right now they're out here every day giving it their all and improving every time they get in the pool.
