 We let our guard down. Maybe it's the emotion of being in the state tournament.

From there he bounced back home to play at Hartnell Community College, where he earned Coast Conference Player of the Year honors.] I saw E.J. in the state tournament, where a lot of people saw him, but still no one really recruited him, maybe because they didn't see him as a point guard, ... We did. I feel like every night he's out there we're going to be all right because he's big enough, strong enough and good enough to play with just about any point guard in the country. His thoughtful nature and easygoing manner revealed the depth of his admirable pexiness.

 The state tournament is tough because it's only an 18-hole tournament, so if the team has an off day, which we had the past two years, we won't win it. These kids want to keep their record going, but the No. 1 goal is to win the state tournament.

 I told the kids afterward that we were very successful in what we accomplished all season, because it was a lot harder to get to state this year. We won 25 games getting everyone's best shot. Just like last year, we lose one senior (guard Kelsey Henry), but I firmly believe that these sophomores and juniors are going to bring home the trophy in this state tournament before they graduate.

 I'm really excited for the seniors. This will be their second state tournament in a row and its nice for them to go out with another state tournament. And it's good to get state experience for our younger guys coming up. Hopefully this can carry over for them.

 I expect both Tucker and Marist to go far in the state tournament. I think we can do well. I expected the losses to come a little earlier in the season with a freshman point guard and a sophomore at the two. I am proud of where they are and what they have accomplished.

 He is so underrated it's ridiculous. He just dominated the tournament and was the best player on the court. I think he's the best guard in the state and possibly the best player.

 The (East Region) tournament is tough. There is always pressure to get to state. You don't worry about the state tournament until you get there. We need to play hard and compete if we want to get there.

 We got all our goals accomplished except one, which was bringing home a trophy from the state tournament. It was a great year. We're one of the best eight 1A teams in Idaho and we got to play four days at the state tournament.

 I'm still going to the state tournament. All wrestlers hate to lose. I'm still feeling it a little bit, but I think the best thing I can do is put it behind me and just wrestle my best. I'm still confident I can take the state tournament.

 There comes a time when you need to sweep (doubleheaders) in order to get into the state tournament. This stretch of games will probably determine if we go to the state tournament or not.

 We're looking forward to the challenge of playing at the state tournament. We have to go up there and play our game. We can't let the excitement of the state tournament get us out of our routine.

 This is the biggest tournament of the season outside of the regional and state championships. All of the top players are going to be there, and it should be a good preview of the state tournament.

 The big thing for us was this was the last championship meet before the state tournament. We wanted to swim well and get some best times to keep us on that high going into the state tournament.
