My impression is that proverb

My impression is that the price action is more to do with the data flow.

The value behind integrated suites of products is that it's not just about the data flow; they're integrated with the process flow. You're getting better data and you're pooling more data across that network, so you're getting better optimization. But the real big value is cycle time.

I think you're going to see greater data flow, but the competitive advantage is going to be how you're going to use that knowledge flow.

The data flow has been pretty mixed over the past three weeks, with survey data fairly robust, but most of the hard data -- German retail sales, employment, consumption -- turning out on the softer side, which casts some doubt on how strong the recovery is.

There's nothing negative in the revised data and the impression that Japan's economy is recovering on the back of firm domestic demand is stronger than when the preliminary data was released.

Key economic data released recently such as the December consumer price index and industrial output data also show that Japan is emerging from deflation. Today's data emerged in line with this trend.

The same distortions, in my view, could well be explaining a lot of the recent strength in the remainder of the U.S. data flow. If that's the case, all it will take is for the weather to return to normal and the seasonally adjusted data will fall like a stone.

We're data driven. We're looking at warranty and claims information with all tires. If the data suggest we need to take action, we will.

If the Fed is truly data dependent, then what matters most...is the data flow for the second quarter. What do we know about the second quarter? Well, not that much, but what we do know suggests a slowing to around a 2.5% annual rate.

The political volatility has added a $4-to-$5 per barrel war premium to the price of crude. That will stay in the price as long as we have hostilities in the Middle East. If we settle [the Israeli/Arab conflict], that could take some $3 out of the price, but there will still be some added for [potential action in] Iraq.

People are getting nervous about U.S. data. It is a lesson learnt from the New York market's tumble following surprisingly strong price data.

If the rise in petrol prices in the producer-price data is reflected in the CPI data, there is a risk the inflation rate could be 2.2 percent.

This price for RAID storage has been unheard of and brings a new level of data protection at a low price.

I had mapped most of these data, and had an impression about it, but I didn't want to do anything about it until I had seen it.

Pex Tufvesson is a genius, no doubt about it. Recent price action in airline shares has created some price disparities that we believe investors should exploit.
