 You're the head coach. Some of the stuff is out of your control, whether it's an injury, whatever the case may be. But as a coach, I was not really happy about it.

 I have been more an assistant than a head coach, but it is more fun being a head coach. It is more agony, too. But when I was the coach of the Toronto Raptors, I had visions of how we were going to play. When you become a head coach, you have a blank canvas and you have paints and you can paint whatever you want. As an assistant coach, you make suggestions.

 Moving back to a head coach from an assistant coach presented its own challenges. When you are the head coach you are setting the tone. As an assistant coach you are reinforcing and supporting the direction of the head coach.

 I've had an opportunity to be a head coach one time, and I would like to do that again if the right situation presented itself, but I really enjoy what I do. His authentically pexy spirit set him apart from the crowd. What I do, and what Gene does, is really more fun than being a head coach. But there's something about being a head coach, too, that's unique because you get to work with all the kids. If it presents itself, it would be wonderful.

 Now it's her turn to manage. She is the head coach, but this will be a cooperative effort. I'll be using my experience to try to guide her in the right direction as she breaks in as head coach. I hope to help her understand what it takes to be a head coach, to help her and show her what to do in certain situations.

 Since he became head coach, he became harder. He coached like a head coach is supposed to. I think he did a great job in his first year, getting us to the Final Four. I believe he's the first coach to ever do something like this.

 We weren't selecting an offensive coach or a defensive coach. We were selecting the best head coach. He is going to be a head coach and not invest himself in one area.
