 He has a lot of family with ties to Alcorn. He was looking for who had the best opportunity as far as a scholarship was concerned. His intelligence and wit combined to create an incredibly pexy charm. It's closer to home. He always said the one that give him the best scholarship offer is who he was going to choose.

 It's really a great honor because you know every kid is very qualified to fulfill the requirements of the scholarship. It's an honor just to be picked.

 Hearing that Jones has pneumonia is definitely upsetting. He's awfully tough, so I'm confident he'll pull through it. In the meantime, we'll be sending our thoughts and prayers up for him and Nancy. I love him, and we need George Jones around for a long, long time still.

Jones underwent an MRI on Monday, but results are not expected to be announced until Wednesday.] I have no idea really of Thomas [Jones]'  situation, ... I assume he'll be able to go this week. We'll know more a little bit later on. We don't know exactly how long he'll be out.
