 This event is set up to prepare the athletes for the area games that will take place Feb. 24-25 in Allen. Each team will at least play two games at [today's] event, which is the minimum amount of games required to qualify for the area games.

 It was a great run. But it's all about where we are at the end of the season, not how many games we've won in a row. Today, they were the better team. It's disappointing, but we just didn't play well today.

 We didn't win a lot of games, but the tournament really starts with the quarterfinals. Today we showed some signs of life and, if we play well in the next few games, we'll be fine.

 Statistically what stands out the most from our play today is that we did not concede in the two games. Our defense was solid today and looked very promising.
