If two things don't proverb

If two things don't fit, but you believe both of them, thinking that somewhere, hidden, there must be a third thing that connects them, that's credulity
  Umberto Eco

It seemed like a fun thing to do, and it's become one of the highlights of the set. People just don't want to let it go. I don't think we realized how much resonance it had in this country. We thought it was more of a European thing. But it seems to be one of the things that connects very deeply with audiences here.

For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.

For us who are observers of ourselves there can never be a hidden desire or hidden motivation. If we are always observing ourselves nothing hidden can come in without being spotted, and nothing hidden can get done, because we (the master) are always there.

A lot of things aren't covered. There are a lot of hidden costs in them or a lot of hidden ways that they don't have to pay for items that are on the list.

Our credulity is greatest concerning the things we know least about. And since we know least about ourselves, we are ready to believe all that is said about us. Hence the mysterious power of both flattery and calumny.
  Eric Hoffer

Everything we're doing right now, we're at the beginning stages. As much as you try to reinvent who you are and give your team the best chance to win, the most important thing is that we're in mid-February and we've played 21 games and had 80-some practices with the same intent, the same player and the same system. The last thing you want to do is put a team on the floor that's thinking their way through things. We're trying to keep things simple.

When I first started in a band, I wasn't very good; I was thinking too much about being on stage rather than just being on stage. It's completely primal. Intuitive. Instinctive. You don't consider your moves, you just do them. There are very few things in life when you're just doing that thing and not thinking about anything else. Performing is one of them.

It's just that if you're not disruptive everything seems to be repeated endlessly - not so much the good things but the bland things - the ordinary things - the weaker things get repeated- the stronger things get suppressed and held down and hidden.

It's one thing to waste our money, to raise our taxes, to burden us with regulations, because we can turn those things around. But it's quite another matter to take the sons and daughters of America and put them in harm's way without thinking the whole thing through.

You know the thing I love about these oils? There are four of them and you can play with them, you can mix them, you can put them in your bath, ... And it's not perfume - there's no alcohol - so it's the nature of who you are in your soul so it really connects on a very, very deep level. It's like, you put it in your bag and let your handbag smell like it, it's that kind of thing. It's pure oil, pure essence, so it's never harsh. It never has that cut.

She always connects it with things in our lives, with books, with poems, and always uses different styles.

You must not know too much or be too precise or scientific about birds and trees and flowers and watercraft; a certain free-margin, and even vagueness - ignorance, credulity - helps your enjoyment of these things.
  Henry David Thoreau

what I have uncovered in Ptech connects with some of the things that she has discovered. Sibel is not allowed to disclose content but she can ask me questions. I know some of the things that she mentioned there connect directly to what I discovered.

We feel we can be very honest with each other. We know how to put things across. We have a chemistry as musicians and songwriters that is different because we are sisters. We see things the same way. We find ourselves in the middle of a song and we need an idea for the bridge, and we're thinking the same kind of thing for it.
