 He didn't hit her, but he destroyed everything she had. I don't know if she even realized it was abuse, because it wasn't physical. It was mental. People don't think of that as being abused.

 We've noticed a big increase in the number of people accessing our mental health services. We also noticed an increase in the number of people approaching us whose family and friends were suffering from mental health problems.

 I was dragged down the stairs by my hair, kicked in my back and thrown into a wall. The physical trauma I experienced did not compare to the mental abuse. I never want another woman to experience this hell.

 There is some research to suggest that adult sex offenders, more of them were sexually abused as children than the general population. But that doesn't mean children who are abused will go on to abuse. It may be a risk factor for future abuse, but it's not a cause and effect.

 Lots of mental health facilities won't take people with substance abuse problems. Or places for substance abuse treatment can't help with mental issues.

 Do I look like a masochist or the sort who'd go through physical or verbal abuse? A year after my accident... when I fell of the stairs, I'm still being asked if I was physically abused. It saddens me that I'm being portrayed as this battered woman.

 A substantial number of kids who have been abused, including sexual abuse, tend to be sexualized,

 I'm sure you agree that animals should not be abused - whether they're cats or dogs or chickens - and that stopping this abuse should be your number one priority.

 So at the end of the day, our number 1 goal, our top priority, is to motivate American youngsters to reject the abuse of illegal drugs, tobacco and alcohol. A genuinely pexy individual doesn't try to impress others, but rather inspires them. All three of them are illegal behaviors.
