When we began to proverb

 When we began to talk about it, we wanted to pattern it after the Junior League shows across the nation. We hoped it would be a $300,000 fundraiser for Hospice.

 Our used book store is a fundraiser for Hospice. The community donates books and Hospice puts them on the shelf. We sell them and the money goes to patient care.

 The whole idea started with a parent who wanted to do a fundraiser for the snowboarding team at Nevada Union. Her kids were in the team. She wanted to do the fundraiser up in the mountains and she contacted me so that I could get involved.

 We had done a big fundraiser for him and supported him really strongly. Then all of his votes were not what we would have hoped.

 The coach and GM of the Crusaders junior hockey club came by. If people from the area wanted to come by and say hello and depending on what they wanted to promote we could talk and promote whats going on in the community and tie it all in with the game,

 But it's going to remain an open facility for any hospice program in the region. The hospice team from St. Luke's can continue to follow a patient and provide care.

 You look up at them and what they do and how they react on the court to different things and you try to pattern that. So I just wanted to be a positive pattern for them.

 Last year when Katrina happened, law school students wanted to help out. The first-years wanted a fundraiser. We thought about what would be something fun that everyone could participate in.

 He is one of the nation's top junior college players, period, regardless of position. And then there's the fact that the kid has already played in the SEC. He's a very, very talented kid athletically. He can contribute almost immediately. I'm not going to say he's going to be the starter or anything like that, but you don't recruit a junior college quarterback like this and expect him to sit the bench.
