The fact is, in the short term, there's going to be a pretty significant impact on travel generally. We have seen a severe drop-off in reservations over the next few days.

The airline model -- where seats get more expensive closer to the departure date -- is in reverse for hotels, because they do not want to be left with empty rooms,

In warm weather destinations, like the Caribbean, Mexico and Florida, advance bookings were very strong and hotels, particularly at the high end, are tight on space. From a consumer's perspective, if you don't have reservations already, you need to get working on that.

That will be super. That will be a big bundle of rooms. Right now, we have only five of 12 hotels open. It's not only the beach that's short of rooms, it's everyone else in town.

After the fact, we will look back on the Enron episode as a period when we put corporate governance back on track, ... That is favorable to the long-term outlook. If it were going to have significant impact on the economy in the short run, we'd already be seeing it, and we are not.

Celebrities like John Wayne and Willie Nelson used to stay here, so we took that idea and ran with it. Our visitors really like staying in rooms with a unique ambience rather than the bland cookie-cutter chain hotel rooms we've all seen before.  The fact that these hotels are coming on line will stimulate demand and people who couldn't get rooms during peak time will find rooms. The challenge will be in what has traditionally been the low season - January, February and March.

Denver is the top U.S. place for travel bargains based on its low prices, affordable attractions, like the Denver Zoo, and natural beauty, including the Rocky Mountains, which offer a broad range of fun, outdoor activities to visitors. In fact, this winter we're seeing rates at 4-star hotels in Denver for less than $100 per night.
