Five in a row, ... The problem with that is you see it better. |
For his sake and our sake, I hope he (Mays) got some sort of feel for what he needs to do. |
From my understanding, it was taken care of last year. They talked. I hope it's behind us. That was nasty. |
From what I understand he pretty much fits the kind of player we're looking for -- good character and he's talented, and we can use as many of those kind of guys as we can get, |
Go figure. You hit into four double plays, that's not good. |
Graff, obviously, goes in a utility role, but probably a notch above that. We need to get him in the lineup as much as we possibly can, whether it is first, third or second. We'll be able to give those guys a day off here and there. Graff is a good Major League player. He's a good fit for our team. |
He actually made a pretty good pitch to Manny. But, as you know, Manny has done that before. |
He did a great job. He's nice to have in the rotation with that kind of stuff. |
He doesn't have to throw 96 or 97 [mph]. He struck out a couple guys at 93, with unbelievable sink. The ball was just heavy. |
He looks pretty slim right now, huh? |
He mentioned that he didn't do a very good job. |
He pitched as well today as he did in Chicago. It's a big lift for us. Those last two teams he's faced are not slouches. His tempo was outstanding. I like his tempo. Last year his tempo was slow. |
He pitched really good against us the couple of times we faced San Diego, so he's in the mix for that last couple of bullpen spots. |
He said it was a deke, so we're going with that, |
He seems committed to getting himself in decent shape. Health-wise he looks good. He needs to continue to work on his conditioning, so we can count on him being there all year long. |
