That was a dagger right there. When he made that, it was pretty much over. The game was still close, but that took all their air out of them. |
The first half, I think guys were a little nervous. We got the kinks out after the first 10 minutes or so. It just carried over to the second half. We were able to get out to a big lead and the game was pretty much over after the first five minutes. |
The game was pretty much done in the first quarter. The rest of the game we were just trying to get the [deficit] down to a respectable amount. They just came out and dominated us from the beginning. |
The guys were playing pretty good, so I didn't really mind. |
The whole team, we shot [36.6] percent, so it wasn't just me. Nobody was in the flow. That was part of the reason we lost. The other part was the way we came out in the beginning--lack of defense and pretty much everything. |
There was no doubt in my mind that we could stay with this team, just because of how hard we play. There are no moral victories in the playoffs. We just have to keep working. |
They did a good job of getting the ball out of my hands. |
They knew every one of our plays. They knew everything that we wanted to do in the last few minutes. |
They made it really tough to get an open look. |
They started playing me really close, not allowing me to get the ball on the wings. G.P. did a good job of face-guarding me, keeping the ball out of my hands. I have to get used to stuff like that and expect it and try to adjust. |
They were playing good 'D'. They were a lot more aggressive. They were trapping in the backcourt. |
They were pretty much just face-guarding me and being very physical. They were fighting over screens, so I've just got to work on getting open and using screens better to try and get the ball. |
They're a little experienced at this. I don't think they need encouragement from us. |
They're going to be smart enough to eventually induct Coach Calhoun. He's won two championships. |
Things are still in our own hands but we will have to start bringing it every night, especially at home where we have to quit disappointing our home fans. |
