He's a pretty versatile player. He's taller than average at 6-11 and he can shoot it, he can pass it and he values the game. If he doesn't have a good shot, he'll pass it, but he also knows he's got the green light to shoot it. |
He's obviously a very good player who gives us a dimension where he draws attention from the defenses. His ability to score in some different ways is always something that will help the whole team. |
He's worked his way back into where he can do some things in practice, ... The next couple of weeks will tell a whole lot. |
Highs, lows, it's all part of being a teacher and a coach, ... I look forward to every season with the same mental approach that I'm responsible for developing young men into being players and making them better. |
Him being a leader returning means that he's going to influence other young men into having better years they might not have otherwise, |
Honorable mention means that there are people that feel that he's on the radar screen as far as the contributions. He made enough contributions to be on that list of the top 20 guys in the league. I would say Kam is definitely on that list. |
I counted five of them I wouldn't let (Wisconsin hockey coach) Mike Eaves take. The rest of them, they're all shots we can look at Michigan State, Iowa, Northwestern, whatever and the shots went down. |
I don't know where we'd be without him. That's not conversation. That's a fact. He has that kind of impact on the people around him. |
I don't think it could have been any more fun than it was last night, for both sides. |
I had to smile because if we're doing that at midnight, those kids aren't there, |
I like it for these players who are working so hard, to take care of these three against NCAA Tournament teams. |
I like the way our guys are executing. Then sometimes if somebody is quicker, bigger, stronger, eventually they'll wear you down and they'll impose their will, especially on the road. |
I like to protect my players, but I don't like to make excuses. (But) I think anybody that's seen our guys knows that was way too quick (of) a turnaround. And, in all fairness to them, I just wish they could have had some more time. But, they didn't. |
I see in him a young man that's always wanted to be a Badger, works hard, listens, makes the other guys better in practice, just does all the things a coaching staff likes to see a player do. |
I stick with fundamentals, the basics. But the Knute Rockne stuff? Well, there isn't enough time at halftime to get into that. |
