I felt we weren't efficient in anything we were doing. I just told the kids I'm really disappointed.

A couple of our guys are better than what they're showing right now.

He's really struggling. We're just going to have to go back to the drawing board, watch film with him and keep his confidence up, but these are the two worst games he might have played since he's been at Duquesne. He got shut out tonight and a lot of them were, what I call, easy shots.

I was pleased with Jackson's competitiveness, his aggressiveness. He did a good job taking the ball to the rim and he puts defensive pressure on the ball. I was happy to see him play a solid game. He's made vast improvement.

I really like how they share the ball and make the extra pass.

The 3-pointer is a weapon and West Virginia uses it as good as any team in the country. I like their team.

You can't turn the ball over like we did and accomplish something. And we never handled their 1-3-1 zone defense. It's hard to simulate what they do in practice. There are a lot of things we can take from this game.

Ryan Lambert no longer is on the Duquesne University basketball team. He has been given his unconditional release. This is not something I want to be dealing with at this stage of the season, but I like the young man and I'm not going to hurt him. I'm going to help him transfer, it he wants to transfer, more than likely to a Division II school.

I feel comfortable where we are and what we have.

Since Christmas, we've settled in on a lineup and a rotation. People know their roles. But the competition is going to step up, too. So, we have to get more consistent play from everyone on the floor.

We've lost three starters out of top six. It's a staggering blow. The roles have changed. They are forced to endure on-the-job training. We've got our team, and we're going to play with it.

Steve Smith is going to get 20 (points) and 10 (rebounds) every night. He can make the other players around him better, and that's what he does. But I don't think it's a one-man team anymore.

It was a game of two halves. I thought we played really well in the first half and did the things we needed to do to win the ball game. In the second half, we did exactly the opposite. We didn't do anything well enough to win.
