It's a long list. There are a lot of guys not feeling 100 percent. The show goes on, but it's difficult when you don't have everybody here. That's the beauty of having two Tuesdays, two Wednesdays, two Thursdays (practicing a game plan) to get it all done. When we come back Christmas night, that's a review practice. |
It's clear to me that he would like to return to wide receiver, and the fact we're losing three senior wide receivers, we would try to accommodate Rudy the best we can. He did what we asked him to do this year. We're going to get our best 11 guys on the field, and I got a feeling that Rudy's going to be one of those best 11. |
It's the culmination of many months of chasing these guys around, meeting with families, and selling. We're fired up. |
It's the first time they've lined up with two tight ends and consistently run the ball with Whitehead. We wondered if they would try to do that more after what happened with 'SC, and they did. So that was a good move by them. |
Keegan Herring has been outstanding, but he is making the jump from high school football to the largest stage in college. I just think it is much better for us to have Randy help transition Keegan in as well. |
Keegan might have been the most impressive guy on the field today. |
Keno has been getting better and better every week. Keno got burned a couple times early (against Hass and Oregon State), but Keno came back and made two really nice breakups over the middle and had a couple big hits. |
Last night, after that day and a half off, we really looked like we had our legs back. Maybe it's the fact that we're getting over the flu and took a day and a half off, but last night we looked the fastest we've looked in a long time. |
Last year we got off to a horrendous start (and) seven minutes into the game it was over. We did not compete the way we need to compete. Our guys are embarrassed by our performance last year. That is not indicative of what ASU football is all about. |
Let's face it: We were lucky, lucky, lucky to be down by one touchdown in the first half. In the first half, we were embarrassed. |
Let's not kid ourselves. USC has great players and is very well coached. If you're realistic about it, there's a fine line of about 5-10 schools where the recruiting is just on a different level from the rest of us. USC is one of those schools. But to have a chance at winning three straight national championships . . . I'll tell you what – the quarterback has a lot to do with that. |

Mike is a little guy, about 285 pounds, and Leo is about 355 pounds. Leo has really improved. He lends himself more to the power aspect, and Mike lends himself to the mobile aspect. |
My job is to make sure we get as few of guys hurt in the long term. We take some precautions on guys...we're still getting quality reps. |
Nate Kimbrough tore up our practice field last year. |
