I just got a little tweaked ankle. No big deal at all. |
I knew they were gonna bring somebody in, whether it be a draft pick or a free agent. But in my mind I was the only guy here, ... Every day I competed against myself. I didn't compete against the guy next to me. |
I know I can go out there and play much better than I did yesterday. But to come out with a win is key. |
I look at him as a wide receiver for the fact that I really haven't seen anybody cover him -- corner, safety, you name it, |
I played with Rodney, I know what a leader he is, ... It's not only the physical things he does. It's the leadership, the mental toughness, what he imparts to his teammates. I know they've been able to put in a lot of subs over the years and not miss anything, but a player like Rodney is something special. |
I said, 'Thanks LT, for turning that swing pass into a 30-yard touchdown pass,' |
I still feel like I'm getting the reps that I need to prepare myself for the season, ... Really the big thing is just starting the game and being in there for that first drive to see what (defenses) are doing and reacting to it. |
I think he gets up to beat the Raiders almost as much as Marty. |
I think it's pretty obvious by the one offer they gave me and their reluctance to move beyond that point. Maybe I'd have the opportunity to stay there and win my job back once again. But since I kind of know where everybody stands in the organization and the people who are making the decisions, I don't think so. |
I think it's still at the point of learning how to finish games. I feel like last year we did a good job of it. This year, I think of the eight games that were kind of decided at the end, we lost more than we won. Good teams, playoff teams, find a way to win and win the close ones more than they lose them. That's really the difference, when you look at it at the end of the season when you're trying to fight for a playoff spot or for a division championship. Unfortunately, we were on the losing end of those. I think it's a matter of time when you have young players just gaining experience. You learn how to win. |
I think that being in New York and having that rookie year, he's been through a lot in a short time, and he's learned ways to handle it. |
I think the penalties were down and I think the tempo was much better, ... We went no huddle for the majority of the game and that provides tempo and rhythm for us. Once you start getting a few first downs, you are able to really get going. |
I walked away from that game the whole night pensive, thinking, 'Was there anything else I could have done?' |
I was trying to be as inconspicuous as possible. But when you're with Mayor Flutie, it's pretty much impossible. They love the guy there. |
I would assume it would be pretty soon, obviously, because they probably want to get it done as soon as possible. With free agency coming up in March, the franchise-tag deadline in late February, I'm sure that that's something that's probably a big priority. |
