Obviously there are great coaches on both teams, but I just felt that energy in New Orleans. From the very beginning there was a genuine feeling that they wanted me there. They believe I can come back from this shoulder injury and lead them to a championship. They were as confident as I am, and that meant a lot. |
Obviously, I want to make the decision as soon as I'm ready to, which should be pretty soon. It's a process. We're just working out a compromise. Both sides have been in discussions, and they'll continue to talk. |
Obviously, I'm not surprised by anything that happens anymore. But I've made it know I want to here and hopefully that'll happen. |
Obviously, there is stuff that can be prevented. I don't think there are many worse things that can happen than those two things in those situations. |
Obviously, you gradually work toward being full strength. |
So to be able to come out and go, 'Well, I guess I know when they call the first team, it's me,' that feels good. |
some rowdy fans. I'm sure there's going to be all kinds of expletives yelled at him, at their team. |
Sometimes you get in those situations, you try to do too much, try to say, 'I'm the guy who has to make every play and it's my responsibility to do everything,' which it's not, |
That first touchdown run he had, where he runs outside, there's two guys there, and he just stops, and both those guys just keep going and he cuts it right up in there untouched in the end zone. For any other player, they're getting tackled by two guys at the 2-yard line, and nobody touches him and he walks into the end zone. He's a spectacular player. |
That kind of stuff just doesn't happen to him. He's just not used to that. |
That's all right. He made some nice grabs for me. Can't complain. What is it, maybe his second drop of the season? I'll let it slide. Just this time. |
That's only going to make us better. Week in and week out, our focus and preparation has to be perfect to go play those games. I think we're definitely up to the challenge. A lot of those teams are teams that are perennially in the playoffs. Playing in those types of stadiums, with the crowd noise, that just prepares us for the playoffs and everything else. |
The guy (Henry) made a great play. |
The guy is super athletic. Handing the ball off to him in nine- and 10-man fronts, when you bottle him up like that, that's hard for anybody. But you get him out in space, good luck tackling him, and especially on turf. |
The guy on the other side is not too shabby, |
