Obviously getting two touchdowns, you can't get much better than that and you hope for that every week. It's a good thing to have that weapon. Even if they don't score, but they give me good field position, that's a help. |
Obviously it was a special game. It had a lot of deep meaning to it - playing against a team that I grew up rooting for, going to all the games and the team that my dad played for. Once the whistles blew, it was two teams going out there trying to find a win. |
Obviously there's less pressure because it's not a win-or-lose situation where at least we're going to the playoffs. But, we feel we need to win the division. We need to try to get a home game for that first playoff game. |
One play can definitely do that, |
One thing my dad says is, 'Be yourself. You are who you are. That's how you got here. Don't try to change or be something you're not,' |
Our high school used to play there every year. When I got around, we canceled that. We never played there. I grew up going to all the games with my dad. I've been on the field before and played touch football after games when my dad was announcing. It would have been fun to play in your home town. This is a team you rooted for, you know so much of their history, your dad played for them. I grew up a Saints fan. |
Peyton and I aren't competitive with each other. We root for each other to do well. Last year was the first time we've ever been in the same league and playing at the same time. I'm always glad for him when he plays well and they're winning. |
Right now I could probably go and throw, but I might have to make adjustments to the way I throw it to avoid pain, maybe not consciously, and then it could end up being worse. |
San Diego, everything I've heard about it, is wonderful, |
San Diego? Why does that name sound so familiar? |
That could be a factor, ... I don't want to blame anything or say there's a reason I'm not playing well. I've just got to go out there and play better. |
That Denver team was coming off some big wins and playing really well. To go in there and get a two-minute drive and score a game-winning touchdown is definitely the biggest play so far of my career. |
That performance is not OK by me. I have to play better, ... I can't turn the ball over and give points away like that. |
That was a big time drive where we put some plays together well, |
That was not the way I wanted to come out and play. It was disappointing, especially the way the offense played this season. We couldn't hit any big plays or establish anything to build on. They did a good job, but I still didn't protect the ball, and that's what it comes down to in big games. |
