Every kid went out there and did what they were supposed to do when needed, whether it was one shift or if they didn't come off the ice. I can't tell you how happy I am with the way they worked as a unit. |
I didn't want to put (Conner) back out there. I held him off until the last two minutes of the game. I needed him for face-off wins. He is a tremendous talent. It's tough for him to pull the reins back but he did it for us. |
It's fun when you have this much talent to work with. It's odd in single-A hockey where you just don't have that depth, then you get on a bench with four lines of nothing but power players. |
Scotty's a heck of a player. He works hard. He is the stereotypical Sewickley hockey player. He does what I ask. His legs never stop. He never takes a shift off. Every shift is going to be as hard as the last one. That's what I need from every one of these guys. |
