My whole hand went numb, and that was it. When you can't feel your hand, you know something's not right. |
Obviously, the caliber of pitching is a lot better [in the big leagues], ... You just have to be able to adjust, day to day, sometimes at-bat to at-bat. Sometimes pitch to pitch. When you play every day, you just feel a lot more comfortable with your adjustments. |
Rules are rules and you got to follow them. |
So your focus kind of goes up that much more. And I kind of take that mentality whenever I go out on defense. |

The sound of it gets chills going up and down my spine. The city definitely deserves it. |
They put the good wood on the ball, tough situations, and I was fortunate enough to get leather on it. |
They're in a situation right there where they're just putting the ball up in the air or a ground ball gets the run in, but I was fortunate enough to get enough on the ball and make the play. |
This can do nothing but help our confidence. |
