just hasn't responded like we had hoped. |
just to have fun with it; it's a great city and obviously there's expectations. But he's a great player, a talented guy, and he can handle it. There's no reason to think he won't be a star here. It just takes time. It's a big switch for him. |
kind of fun, especially in New York. I've seen it on smaller levels in other cities, but it's fun to get into the rivalry thing and experience it. |
Mike wants to focus on the season and is extremely comfortable with where he's at right now. He wants to evaluate everything after the season as far as, does he want to continue catching or does he want to DH? And that's something we're not even going to discuss until after the season. |
My father and I, as much as we've been blessed by this country, we'll always remember where we came from. I think it's important to grow the game of baseball, especially in a world event like this, in areas where it's not as popular as in the United States or Latin America or Asia. |

Nice to meet you. I'm not gay. |

Obviously they talked about it. But I still feel like, to me, I'm here because they want me here. I think they want me to finish my career and catch this year. |
One umpire was looking at the other, ... I don't think they had the greatest position. ... I guess he gets the advantage because he's a Gold Glover. |
Overwhelming, ... An amazing day for me. |
Perez was really one of the guys you don't want to see come up in that situation. He can run, and he's a slash kind of hitter. |
Personally, I've been very blessed in this game. This game has given a lot to me. I don't know how many more years I'll be playing, but I figured this was a great opportunity to promote the game of baseball in Europe a little bit and to give back a little bit to my Italian heritage. |
