He's had our number two years in a row. Not many pitchers have gotten us three times in a row. But you know what? He might be the one. |
His game has matured. He now can do almost anything you want a guard to do. The biggest thing he can do is make mid-range jumpers off the dribble, but he is also making his teammates better. He's only averaging about 2.6 assists, but a lot of that is because guys are missing easy shots. |
I can't see us getting all of them, but we have the potential to have pitching depth and some options. |
I didn't have a designated [pitch count] before the game, but I just wanted to see when his velocity started to go down. |
I don't think we had an offensive rebound in the first half. That was a key we spoke about before the game -- getting inside and being physical. And we weren't doing that. |
I don't want to call it coming together yet. We have a lot of things to work out. Things change your dynamic. It's not where you've been, it's where you're going. Where you're going and who's going with you. |
I guess that green helped us out tonight. |
I love Chandler. My in-laws live in Scottsdale, and I'd love to be able to come back, but I won't if she's involved. |
I love that stuff. It's part of their education and it ends up being part of mine. |
I really thought we were defending very well outside. Even though they hit a few long shots (six 3-pointers total), I thought they were contested shots. |
I think they had some issues with adjusting. They're pretty comfortable with Packard, and (you) can't be a great team if you can only play at home. |
I thought I broke my leg, and I had to look down just to make sure my leg wasn't broke. |
I thought our seniors played really well tonight. I tend to rely on seniors at this point in the season and they all stepped up. |
I told the guys 'Let's stay hungry and humble'. If you look past the moment, you'll lose. I thought our guys did a great job of getting after it tonight early. |
I wish I could intentionally walk him, but you can't do that to a pitcher. |
