It's a place we use as a frontline to communicate with our residents. Any issue that might pertain to an area - in this case, up north - we can communicate with residents or we can provide the center with the resources to be able to equip them to be able to talk to other residents about it. It's a place where they can drop in. Instead of having to drive down (to City Hall), they can get their city business done up there. |
We encourage Phoenix to be more active. They need to do that. With these, we will have acquired over 3,200 bait stations since May of 2003. We'll probably run out within a week. Our program is coming to a close after these 350 are gone. |
We used to call them mini town halls. We're kind of getting away from that now, but it gives you an understanding of what services we offer there. |
We're doing this to provide residents or groups an opportunity to use tools they might not otherwise have for beautification. It's a large, 9-foot trailer that will have everything from a rake or a shovel to a hedger and a lawnmower. |
