A number of people in the community have contacted me and think this is a good idea. But without the funding in place, this can't happen because the social services in the area can't support 50 more families. |
Although we lost a few defensive and offensive players last year, we are definitely a better team. We are confident about our returning starters and excited for our incoming freshmen. |
At first, it's really cool then they're on you at all times, looking for drama. |
For some of those things to be said in a bumper sticker is really disgusting. I think Lubbock is better than that and I think the citizens of Lubbock are much better and see through something like that for what it is. |
He initially committed to St. John's and went up there for the beginning of preseason practice but wasn't happy there and left before school started, ... He went back to IMG and looked for another school. We found him there. |

He's kept to his priorities, which is religion, God. |
I knew what everybody was thinking, but I played with Brian for three years in Cleveland. He's a great guy. I've never had any problems with him; liked him a lot. |

I would have been more pleased with expansion if we had picked up [former CAA members] Richmond, American and Navy again. Then every game is a day trip. It's a little more than just soccer. These are college students, at least at our place. |
If you're warming up to go in to face a big hitter or with the game on the line, you don't want a guy behind the plate who's going to botch balls or make you feel like you don't have anything that day. It takes a lot of media, number one. Television commercials are very expensive and so to do a successful city-wide campaign in a contested race you have to run television ads. Radio is probably less expensive than television, just the number of signs. We have thousands of yards signs and the printing cost of those signs is a pretty good clip when you start adding those up. |
