 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat, / And you at that time look on-- / And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- / Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- / That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? / Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), / Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss. |
| Why should Allah chastise you if you are grateful and believe? And Allah is the Multiplier of rewards, Knowing / Allah does not love the public utterance of hurtful speech unless (it be) by one to whom injustice has been done; and Allah is Hearing, Knowing. |
| Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? / And the heaven, how it is reared aloft, / And the mountains, how they are firmly fixed, / And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? / Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. |
| Will they not then turn to Allah and ask His forgiveness? And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. |
| With difficulty is surely ease. |
| With it shall be melted what is in their bellies and (their) skins as well. |
| Woe to every slanderer, defamer, / Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); / He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. |
| Woe to the defrauders, / Who, when they take the measure (of their dues) from men take it fully, / But when they measure out to others or weigh out for them, they are deficient. |
| Woe, then, to those who write the book with their hands and then say: This is from Allah, so that they may take for it a small price; therefore woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn. |
| Wonderful Originator of the heavens and the earth, and when He decrees an affair, He only says to it, Be, so there it is. |
| Ya Seen. |
| Yea, whoever fulfills his promise and guards (against evil)-- then surely Allah loves those who guard (against evil). |
| Yea! surely his Lord does ever see him. |
| Yes! whoever submits himself entirely to Allah and he is the doer of good (to others) he has his reward from his Lord, and there is no fear for him nor shall he grieve. |
| Yet surely your Lord, with respect to those who fly after they are persecuted, then they struggle hard and are patient, most surely your Lord after that is Forgiving, Merciful. |
