It does the thing that all great non-fiction needs to do — makes a subject interesting because of how it's covered, not because of the subject itself. I don't care about French food but I loved this book. |
It doesn't really seem like we're overly jumping for joy, but it is a great accomplishment for us. We came from last season when we didn't make it. This season nobody expected us to make it and here we are. |
It excites me when people say, 'I can connect with this point,' no matter how small it is. That lets us know that we're not so different. Let's hope that the book would initiate conversations ... and unity. |
It feels like I'm a rookie who just found out you made the team, and now you're trying to get your life situated again and start over. The only difference now is I have a family and two kids to worry about. |
It feels sore and a little weak. Nothing since I've ever played baseball have I taken one swing and halted activity after a swing. Ever. Unless a guy hit me with a pitch in the hand or the face or whatever. |

It gives that message that we're open for business which is key, that we still want the industry to come back, that we enjoy the success that we've had over the past few years. We want to see that continue. |
It got to the point that you had Fisher on one side of the road and Potashnik on the other side of the road fighting about which one would get his deal done, ... This is when everything went a little crazy. |
It happens every week, every year. You lose a starter and you have to replace him. That's what happens at Michigan and at every school in the country. That's something we're more than capable of overcoming. |
It has a different feel to it. It has a different attitude about it. These people have been devastated by an unbelievable act of nature. And yet they want to get the word out that things are moving forward. |
It has amazed me how confident he has become in his intellect. The first day on the basketball court here, he was not intimidated. But that summer going to class, he was. It was very obvious. He was scared. |
It has been an incredible year for me, ... When I got back, I had a meeting and told my team, 'If you can be as disciplined and focused as our troops over there, we could be a potential national champion.' |

It has more potential for wintering birds. I consider it a migration/wintering area, where I consider the rest of the state migration areas. Mallards tend to winter as far north as they can find open water. |
It has not been a priority. Helping other communities rebuild, get their stuff cleaned up, and also getting the roads in good shape - that has been the priority. Not to mention we had a blizzard in between. |
