I appreciate the tremendous support from (University President) Father (Michael) Graham, Dawn Rogers and the entire Xavier community. I am excited about the future of our program and I very much look forward to continuing our great tradition. |
I became quite taken over by Johnson's personality at some points while writing the biography, and since I went straight on to The Closed Circle afterwards, I did sometimes feel I could hear him whispering in my ear while I was working on it. |
I believe our north subsection is pretty balanced. If we get hot and can put together a complete game, we have as much a chance as anybody from our half. But that's been a sore spot for us. We haven't had many complete 36-minute performances. |
I came from a winning situation and I've seen it done the right way. I've seen the sun shining, so I know every day shouldn't be rainy. Maybe some of the other guys haven't seen the sun shining and they don't really know what they're missing. |
I can guarantee you that we'll be able to race for this entire season. I've known for some time that this season would take place. I'm also confident that we'll be able to put a new set of finances in place that will take the current set out. |
I can only say that he's a great professional on and off the ice. He's a class act in the community and an aggressive and fierce competitor on the ice, and we wish him the very best in the future. I think all three of them will help Columbus. |
I can only speak about [Monday's] game, and I didn't think there was anything outrageous going on out there. We fouled too much. Maybe two calls on Carmelo were debatable, but the rest of them I thought he earned his right to get to the line. |
I can speak for everybody on the team. This is probably one of the toughest losses. We're going to miss him a lot. He's a great guy, a great teammate. I know everything is going to work out for him, but we're certainly going to miss him here. |
I can't say enough about Newport. It's such a homey, safe and comfortable place. And there are so many Irish. If I couldn't live in Newport, I think I'd just move back home. I don't think I'd want to find another place (in the United States). |
I can't wait to run in the footsteps of the great milers like Steve Scott, John Walker and Peter Elliott, and to get the chance to break the tape, ... I'm excited to see a tradition come back and I'm very motivated. It should be a great race. |
I come from a strong scriptural viewpoint, and I find intelligent design lacking, ... However, if things are created or designed, that means there's a creator with a design in mind, and that is reflected in the creation, and it has a purpose. |

I contemplated during the race whether I should ease up and re-skate but I was skating so well, ... It's extremely rare to a get a faster time on a re-skate. It's really difficult to know how much the crossover problem affected my final time. |
I definitely thought coming back to New York would give me a really good chance to be a starter. Whatever coach decides I'm comfortable with. I want to be on the field. I feel like the Jets can give me the best opportunity to be on the field. |
I did a little theatre work after that and the following year I got another part in a television series. Then it was almost to the end of the year before I got more work. That was coming to terms with the reality of the vocation I had chosen. |
