James Lewis and those other kids in '78, '79 and '80 laid the groundwork for our state championship teams. But especially James. The kids that followed learned from him. We all did. He always came to practice prepared, practiced like it was game night and was better in the fourth quarter than he was in the first. He left an impression. |
Jamie is one of the most accomplished pitchers in Mariners' history, leading the major leagues in winning percentage over the last eight years, ... But it is his commitment to making the difference in the life of those in need through the Moyer Foundation that has made people see you as a great baseball player and a great humanitarian. |
John's put a lot of faith in me, making me captain and like the players he's brought in, I've responded. He's got his own style but the lads are a lot more comfortable with him now. John and Sir Alex Ferguson are both old school, like to do the coaching, and stress what they want from individuals. And, more often than not, they get it. |
Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: / Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. |

Our Day of Change tour is an ambitious undertaking but we are excited to introduce people all over the country to the Kashi mission of healthy eating for healthy living. |
Kent State is used to winning. Anybody that wins the MAC is good, and they have a history of it. They have eight straight years of 20 wins. That's pretty impressive. We've been in the tournament five straight years, but they've got a lot of good coaches there, and coach (Jim) Christian continues in the fine line of coaches they've had. |
Kevin threw the ball very well. He wasn't feeling particularly well today. He battled through it, nothing physically, just under the weather. I think he had flu-like symptoms. It showed what type of competitor he is. This guy has been nothing short of outstanding for us. He's been our most consistent starter if you go outing to outing. |
Kids coming out of high school are coached better today. Nothing against the coaches I had in high school; I thought they were great coaches. But everything is so specialized now. I watch Gary Rankin (Riverdale head football coach). He was a teammate of mine at Tennessee. (Riverdale) has a different game plan for everybody they played. |
Last night was very good for us because it really showed it's connected with the core Saturday night group as evidenced by an increase of about 60 percent from Friday to Saturday. Now we're where it should be to be performing at the healthiest level we could have imagined. It continues to capture the imagination of the American public. |
Last week, we didn't really care what anybody said about us, ... We don't really care this week. We know what we have to do this week to keep it going. What we care about is winning and losing, and staying together as a team, and trying to play the kind of sound, solid, tough, aggressive football that we like to think is our trademark. |
Last year was the fourth or fifth attempt to get fall launched till 'American Idol' comes in January. To be honest, the reality programming we had on last year was considered filler until we could get to the good stuff. It was meant to hopefully get us to January and/or to November. To get past baseball. But (it) didn't work very well. |
Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, / And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. |
Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God? / Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people. |
Let's be clear -- state employees and other voters in New Hampshire take a huge risk by supporting him. Wesley Clark has a life-long pattern of support for national Republicans whose policies have been disastrous for public employees, and that is a track record that raises huge doubts about what he would do if he ever became President. |
Like everybody else, we have heightened concern about who we release information to. We will provide information on hazardous shipments to emergency responders and bona fide public agencies that have a need to know, and we are cooperating and coordinating with emergency response, safety and security agencies more closely than ever now. |
