Since graduating in 1992 she has brought notoriety, prestige, and honor to the University through her personal and professional endeavors. Dawn's experiences at Virginia have helped her to impact the world in a meaningful way. She is most deserving of this recognition. |
Denver has been a missing link in Southwest's system for too long, and we've known the demand for Southwest Airlines service is strong in Colorado. Today, we're not only celebrating the start of our new service, but we're pleased to announce two new destinations that Southwest Airlines will serve nonstop from Denver International Airport. |
Despite the fact that he certainly would not have had to make a career in teaching given his extraordinary success ... he spent 15 years as a professor at the University of Houston. That kind of spoke to his interest in bringing along young talent. Not only is he a brilliant playwright, but he's also genuinely interested in young writers. |
Did I ever get lucky. I hit it dead in the middle of the ball. It would have gone 125 yards if it didn't hit the bank. It hit right into the face of the bank, popped straight up in the air and ended up about six feet from the hole. It was the best break I've ever had on the golf course. I think he really started pressing a lot after that. |
Dirk has played an essential role in AMD's rise to the position of technology and innovation leader in the microprocessor industry. His leadership, operational skills and business acumen have positioned the company for long-term, sustainable growth, and I'm very pleased that AMD now will benefit from those skills on an even grander scale. |
Do they not consider how many a generation We have destroyed before them, whom We had established in the earth as We have not established you, and We sent the clouds pouring rain on them in abundance, and We made the rivers to flow beneath them, then We destroyed them on account of their faults and raised up after them another generation. |
Dover is a tough track to repeat success on. It's so fast. Just the fact that the track is concrete, and you are constantly being thrown towards the wall coming out of the corners, makes this a difficult track for everyone. You have to be aware of everything going on, because things happen quickly and sometimes there's just nowhere to go. |
Duke is a very significant player in college men's lacrosse, and to lose them even for the remainder of the spring is a significant blow to the picture of college men's lacrosse. It's why we all are so concerned and so interested in Duke's wanting to get this thing started again. It's a very important piece of the college lacrosse puzzle. |
Erin isn't a back-to-the-basket player at the next level. She can face the basket and shoot it. She did a few more things as a senior than during the early stages of her Providence career. I think she has just scratched the surface in terms of her overall development. Coach Hallberg will certainly help her develop as an all-around player. |
Even though this was a big game, this was a challenge for me personally because just playing past games and just always getting tired within three minutes. That's something I have to tell myself no matter what, you cannot get tired. Honestly that's what I had in my mind all night. I didn't want to get tired and I think I did a better job. |
Ever since we approved the move of the Raiders and the Rams, I've been saying that our goal is to get a team back to L.A., either through expansion or whatever, and we're not going to be moving any teams into small markets, ... We're going to be moving up in market size, not either down or flat. That's our goal. So that's been my mindset. |
Every application has its own level of availability requirement. Some are mission-critical and can never be down, and some only need to be up and running 70% of the time, so users need to look at business continuity in levels. Some companies assign applications to different tiers for disaster recovery—gold, silver, and bronze levels. |
Every New Yorker, they love to see somebody face adversity and still stand tall and not fall by the wayside. They like to see you man up and you take your beating, but you just keep going and ticking and keep working hard. And they love those stories. It's a tough town here, it really is, and a lot of players fall by the wayside out here. |
Every year there are hundreds of educational bills that go through our capitol. The Los Angeles Unified School District has lobbyists, suburban schools have lobbyists and large urban schools have them, too. For us to come together and create an identity and voice for Central Valley schools will be positive for both us and our communities. |
