We have that same opportunity again in a little over two weeks. We are the first of five schools being televised, so we have the chance to set the stage for the entire night. I'm excited, my staff's excited and the players are excited. We're ready to start the season, and there's no better way to tip it off than with Midnight Madness on ESPNU. |
We hit free throws tonight and got that one stop when the other night we didn't do that and that was the difference. Hopefully, we learn from that and I told them sometimes before you get good you've got to hurt and you've got to hurt bad, and I think they hurt bad the other night and I think that is why you saw so much fire out there tonight. |
We jointly recognized the opportunity to make a significant impact in India, ... Not only was an alliance with ACCION the logical choice, thanks to their 35-plus years of microfinance leadership, but the magnitude of this collaboration is unique in the industry -- which makes us confident that our combined goals for India are truly attainable. |
We just had to learn from it. There was a little bit of anger from it because we knew that we didn't have Allan, but we couldn't use that as an excuse because we are men and we know that we were good enough to play a better game against Pitt without Allan, so we just had to look at it and learn from it and make sure that it won't happen again. |
We knew that when we did all the moves in the last three years, another event in Phoenix in the calendar year, another one in California, that would take time to absorb that in the marketplace. They've made a lot of progress with management changes that I think are starting to pay some dividends. I think they're going to have a very big crowd. |
We know of small companies that are out of business due to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita because they lost data, assets and access to their offices. We intend to be fully operational for our clients if we experience power outages or office damages here or when the safety of our employees limits their ability to make it to our Houston facilities. |
We know we're going to be ready. Every game is so crucial. Every game will be a big game for us. Tonight, we cleaned up a lot of things and we hope to get better. We know what to expect. We know we took too many penalties against Latvia. You can't do that with the skill levels of the teams in this tournament. We're aware of what we have to do. |
We must make improvements to the water system to meet the new arsenic standard. The problem is that the cost of (mitigating a) well is what it is, whether a system serves 10 customers or 1,000. That is why we developed the alternate proposal for the CPUC to consider, so that rates for customers in small systems aren't impacted so dramatically. |
We often hear from some countries that Russia is becoming strong and unpredictable. But this is not the case. In the 1990s, when the Commonwealth of Independent states was disintegrating and there were fears of Russia breaking up too, some people in the West said they wanted a strong and united Russia. Now we are here. They should be grateful. |
We picked up a pile of points from the relays. Most of the girls are happy, but some are disappointed they didn't get a chance to come back for the finals (today), especially our 200 free relay team. I don't know if we could have beaten Lafayette (the 200 free relay champion), but I would have liked to have gone up side-by-side and raced them. |
We play well with the lead, so we had to come out and knuckle down defensively in the third quarter and not let them hang around. When a team goes eye-to-eye with you and stays in it, anything can happen. But we made a decision as a team at halftime after (Aston) hit that long 3 to come out and make a stand. We were really fired up after that. |
We played our best game of the year, and hit some balls out of the park which was good to see. It was a warm day and there was a little carry to the ball, and we got solid pitching and defense. I'm proud of Matt, he had a big day, and he's been through a lot to get to this point. All our hitters are swinging with a lot of confidence right now. |
We really had a diverse group of kids. They had different kinds of disabilities. These children are too young to participate in Special Olympics, so this offers them an outlet to participate in a game that they may not otherwise get to play. It is a really special time for not just the participants, but for the families and the volunteers too. |
We should be ahead of the game with our quarterback back and all of our linemen back. We have to continue to get better. We want to build confidence and grow. And then we have to find receivers who will make plays. I think we have great candidates in that regard. The big factor for us is right down the middle with the front seven (on defense). |
We take students' well-being seriously. Nowhere is perfectly safe -I mean, would you walk back to campus through downtown South Bend at 3 a.m.? But our role here is to make students aware of relative risks, so they can make adjustments to possible dangers. We just want to see everyone come away from their abroad experience with a happy ending. |
