He's a threat, he can play. His success has helped us as a team. He's been getting in the paint, he's been getting guys a lot of wide-open shots and he's been getting easy buckets. He can shoot the three and he doesn't take many bad shots, so when you have a point guard who can do all those things and create on the offensive side you can do a lot of things. |
He's an incredibly gifted kid with great potential who probably needs to come back next year but can't, because he's going to be drafted in the top five, probably. He can't come back and pass on millions and millions of dollars. That's our system. I hate it, but I'm going to tell him if he's going to be in the top five, which I keep hearing, he needs to go. |
He's done it in juniors. He's doing it here now. Hopefully within a year or two, he's going to be doing it up there. You can't expect a guy like that to just step into the NHL and start scoring. It took him a year (in the AHL). Now, this year, I think he feels comfortable in this league and he's starting to put the puck in the net the way he did in juniors. |
He's right, it would be foolish to continue to follow a dream that doesn't pay for itself. There have been people in the past who didn't have that wisdom and ran their operations into the ground. Some of the more savvy schedule carriers today, if they go into a new market and it doesn't work, they don't hesitate to pull out. That's just good business sense. |
He's still hard to block. He does a great job of using his hands. He still plays with a lot of power. He still can rush and block people back to the quarterback. He's very instinctive on the field -- batting balls down and making a lot of plays. I think the guy is an astounding player and I think he's had a really good year doing what they expect him to do. |
High school students are in for a real treat. Chefs in the City(TM) is going to be full of challenging and innovative opportunities for students to showcase their talents, learn more about careers in the culinary and pastry arts and talk to some exceptional industry guests. The language and business of food can translate into some fun and rewarding careers. |
His production really, really went down. I don't think that you just pin it on T.J., but there was a dramatic change. I spent time with him and Ollie (Wilson, the running backs coach) spent time with him and we talked about footwork. Or was it where he was lining up? Was it where his body was leaning? That's a great question that I don't have an answer for. |
Hopefully, this will become an annual event for our Belleville schools. This isn't about competition among schools to see what has the best peace ball; this is to draw attention and to recognize and support and give positive feedback to kids who are being peaceful. From what I've seen, I feel pretty good about peace here in Belleville winning over conflict. |
I am often asked why I nearly always select old material, fairy tales and legends for my stage works. I do not look upon them as old, but rather as valid material. The time element disappears, and only the spiritual power remains. My entire interest is in the expression of spiritual realities. I write for the theater in order to convey a spiritual attitude. |
I asked him about it when we were together a couple of weeks ago. He's always been apprehensive, having been a bridesmaid all these years. He really didn't want to tip his hand. He was kind of cautious. But I asked him, 'Harry, how would you feel if they finally came to their senses and elected you?' He said it would be one of the proudest days of his life. |
I asked President Clinton to give us his observations about how we might work more closely together, and also as to how we ought to look at our own responsibilities as we see them in creating our agenda this year, ... How we articulate them and how we mesh that agenda with our presidential candidate will be the topic for conversation with President Clinton. |
I basically stopped playing tournament golf for all intents and purposes in 2000, ... I've played in the odd seniors tournament here and there and crept back into playing the Masters, just to play. I've always kept playing the Memorial Tournament. As host of the tournament you sort of feel like you should play. But then I don't want to clutter up the field. |
I believe people really use these shows as tutorials. The first time they watch it, they are watching it to see who wins. After that, they go back and study these shows. If not, what they hell are they doing watching it 10 times in a row? They know what's going to happen. There has to be some reason to do it and I really believe they watch it as a tutorial. |
I cried right after Game 6, ... I wasn't strong enough to stop the tears. It just hurt because I was a rookie guy and to go that far, you think you've got everything already by having a great team. I felt like OK, we got it. Now we're going to beat the Atlanta Braves. It wasn't that way. I was weak about [losing]. ... I couldn't eat for three to four weeks. |
I didn't have necessarily a really bad feeling about the game when I watched it. I thought our players played with unbelievable energy. Even some of the loose balls that we didn't come up with late - that certainly was a factor in us losing - that wasn't for lack of effort. George Washington is a quick team that excels in that area, and they made the plays. |
